CONDITIONS OF ENTRYOrganisers 1. The Organisers of the Regatta are the Rotary Clubs of Cotswold Tyndale, Dursley, Nailsworth, Severn Vale, Stonehouse and Stroud. In these Conditions and all other Regatta documents the term includes the Officers and Members of the Clubs, and their appointed agents. Acceptance of Conditions

No entry
will be accepted unless all members of the crew confirm that they agree
to accept the Conditions of Entry; such acceptance will also be required
by any additional or substitute crew members, and by any persons
assisting crews with their preparations. Liability
3.
The Organisers, their members and agents accept no liability for
any loss or damage howsoever caused. Factors such as weather and water
levels could cause the event to be cancelled with little notice; the
Organisers accept no liability for consequential loss, but will
endeavour to return as much as possible of entry fees after expenses
have been paid. Crews 4. A crew must comprise at least four persons, and may not exceed 10. 5. Crew members must be at least 14 years of age, all under-18s must obtain the countersignature of their parent or guardian on the entry form. A team of all under-18s must have an adult manager/coach with them at all times. 6. Crews borrowing Rotary provided rafts must have four members. 7. A Captain must be nominated for each crew, who will be responsible for ensuring that crew members obey the rules of the Regatta and behave responsibly at all times. The nominated Captain may if necessary be substituted by another suitable person. 8. All crew members must wear a lifejacket or buoyancy aid, and should be able to swim. It is the responsibility of each crew to dress appropriately for the event.
Vehicle
Access 9. Only raft carrying/towing vehicles and vehicles driven by disabled persons will be allowed into the Regatta site at Sandfield Bridge and should approach via Frampton Bridge and Saul Village. All other vehicles must be left in the main car parking area which is clearly signposted. 10. Camping or overnight parking is not allowed in any part of the event area or car park. Rafts 11. All self built rafts will be inspected by the Regatta Scrutineers, whose decisions on admissibility will be final. 12. Self built rafts may be of any design, but may not exceed 8.5 metres in length or 2.4 metres in width; entrants will need to carry their raft from the assembly/scrutineering area to launching (up to 50m). 13. The following materials must not be used in the construction of any raft: · polystyrene or other expanded foams: · containers previously used for any toxic or otherwise dangerous materials (if in doubt, enquire immediately of the organising group.

Each raft
may have a support team to assist in launching and recovery. Instructions to Crews 15. All crews and support teams must obey the instructions of the Organisers, SARA, Rescue Services or the Police. Failure to co-operate will result in disqualification.
Afterwards All self built rafts and debris must be removed by the responsible crew or support team by 18:00. |
